Baby Back Joe's Smokehouse is a family-owned and operated restaurant in Hendersonville, NC. Michael and Cindy Campbell are the operating partners who I’m sure you'll see a lot of in the restaurant. Michael is a South Carolina native and Cindy is from Southern Florida. Baby Back Joe's is modeled after Cindy's parent's restaurant, Shiver's Bar-B-Q, in Homestead Florida. Shiver's has been around for over 50 years!

In 2003, the Campbells opened their first restaurant by the same name in Greenville, NC. The Greenville location is still operating today. The Campbells, Cindy's brother Brent, and a local Hendersonville partner saw the need for some good barbecue in Hendersonville and decided to take up shop in Western North Carolina.

Baby Back Joe's specializes in slow smoked meats such as baby back ribs, chicken, beef brisket, pork, and more. Items such as the beef brisket and pulled pork have been smoked for 12 hours or more! This process ensures that each bite will be tasty and tender all the way through.

We'll agree that some of the best tasting barbecue comes from little shacks or hole-in-the-wall type joints, but rest assured, you will find some great barbecue here with a little more variety. Baby Back Joe's serves up smoked burgers and chicken breasts, chicken tenders, appetizer plates and a wider selection of side items.
